EMDR & BRAINSPOTTING THERAPY INTENSIVES

Many of us struggle with feelings of sadness, fear, shame, and confusion, with repeated patterns of disappointment in relationships in our personal and professional life.  If you can relate to feelings of being stuck in these negative states and want to make changes in your life then EMDR and Brainspotting Intensive treatment might be the answer for you to deal with this now.

This may be the solution you have been hoping for. While individual weekly therapy is beneficial, sometimes focused work can open the blocked pathways standing in the way of you feeling better.  You might be in therapy now and feel that you aren’t reaching your goals.  You might feel stuck in your life.  EMDR and Brainspotting intensive therapy could be the beginning of your journey towards health and healing, or it might be an adjunct service to the therapy that you are already doing.  Either way, intensive work can provide results that can usually take many sessions to accomplish, and this can be done in a short timeframe.

EMDR and Brainspotting are both known as brain-based therapies and are some of the fastest-growing areas of psychological health because they have shown they can immediately address issues that talk therapy can take years to heal. Brainspotting and EMDR combine the strength of brain-based and talk therapies into a powerful healing process.

The use of EMDR and Brainspotting can accelerate the ability for the brain to activate its own natural healing process…

EMDR is a revolutionary brained based treatment for trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, phobias and relationship issues.  There is no longer a need to wait to see some of the changes that you desire.

Brainspotting is somatic work that creates change.  David Grand developed Brainspotting and it is one of the most effective treatments for psychological trauma.  Using brainspotting allows for a collaboration between the therapist and client as they co-create a treatment plan and participate together in the healing process.   According to Dr. Grand, “It allows us to harness the brain's natural ability for self-scanning, so we can activate, locate, and process the sources of trauma and distress in the body.”

While weekly therapy is beneficial, it can take time to see change.  Because of the short length in each session, sometimes it can feel frustrating when there is so much deep work to be accomplished.  EMDR and Brainspotting intensives can cut down the treatment plan and that means that you can start to feel better and notice more rapid changes.

EMDR & Brainspotting intensives are customized to meet your needs for therapy.  They can be extended sessions that are between two and three hours or can be 6 hours of therapy with a break and run from 2 to 4 consecutive days.  My goal is to co-create a treatment plan that offers you the flexibility to extend or shorten the work to meet your needs.  During your Trauma Intensive, you are my priority each day and that ensures no interruptions in your processing sessions.

If you are interested in exploring the process of intensive work, please contact me to schedule your complimentary consultation that can help answer any questions that you might have prior to getting started.

EMDR is a very different approach to therapy and EMDR Intensives are a very different approach to EMDR.  If you are looking for more rapid change EMDR might be the answer that you have been looking for.  EMDR is a revolutionary brain-based treatment that can help you rewire the negative neural networks that have been holding you back from accomplishing your goals.  It is an alternative to talk therapy or can be an adjunct to your current therapy.  Your brain has its own unique ability to heal, and EMDR can assist you in healing naturally.

Brainspotting allows for rapid somatic work and processing of body held trauma.  The combination of EMDR and Brainspotting can lead to rapid change.

Working together during your Intensive you will see just how much your brain already everything has it needs to heal.

Together we can help you make the connections between what happened then and what you are experiencing now.  The pressure to figure everything out will be naturally relieved as you gently rewire the negative networks and build positive and supportive neural networks.  During your intensives, you will learn how your brain has learned survival behaviors, and how those behaviors have served a purpose in your life.  You will also help your brain learn that there are new positive behavioral changes and thoughts that will allow those survival instincts to subside unless they are necessary.  EMDR helps you differentiate between what is then and what is happening in the here and now.  This will give you greater clarity, feelings of hope for the future, and reduce your guilt or shame about the past.  You can give your brain and body room to process whatever may have happened and truly move forward.

Just like other major medical procedures, EMDR and Brainspotting intensives are an investment in you and your mental and physical wellbeing.  Although the investment in intensive work is more costly initially than weekly therapy, it can also cut down the cost in the length of therapy.  EMDR and Brainspotting intensives can save you time and money.
