Couples Counseling

Whether you are looking for pre-marital counseling, couple counseling, a marriage tune-up, recovery from infidelity or are recovering from divorce, you have arrived at this site because you need help with the ups and downs in your relationship. If you are like most couples who seek help from a marriage or couples therapist, you might be experiencing conflicts in the key areas experienced in every relationship. You might find that you are continually disagreeing about the same issue over and over again.

If you are experiencing any of the following issues, counseling may help:

  1. Difficulty with intimacy or commitment

  2. Infidelity

  3. Feeling misunderstood by your partner

  4. Increased conflict

  5. Phase of Life changes

  6. Deciding if you should stay together

  7. Increased stress in daily life

  8. Parenting issues

While all relationships experience painful moments, it is possible to free yourself from past hurts and negative patterns in your relationship. You can learn to create intimacy and trust in your relationship. If you are feeling stuck in old relationship patterns that are no longer working in your life, or are longing for a revitalized connection with your partner, there is still hope that you can reconnect.

Betrayal trauma is sometimes the result form infidelity.  Whether it is emotional infidelity, sexual infidelty, or gaslighting, you might experience reactions similar to those of trauma.  You might be experiencing this betrayal more intensely due to attachment trauma that was experienced as a child.  This can be a very unsettling and painful life transition. It can be treated effectively with appropriate trauma care.
